LAND MOLLUSCA FROM THE LATE NEOLITHIC PIT (F 1017) AT EASTON LANE, HAMPSHIRE.

A total of about 70kg of slag was examined, virtually all of it deriving from the smithying process. The majority of it came from unphased and/or disturbed contexts so the period and location of the activity could not be identified, though the phased material does suggest some concentration in the 2nd and 3rd centuries A.D.
