Orton Fells, Upland and Upland Fringe

This area is located on the eastern side of Cumbria, to the south-east of Penrith and north-west of Kirkby Stephen. The M6 and railway line extend from the north to the south of the area. A small part (8%) is within the boundary of the Lake District National Park, whilst 13.2% of the area is designated as Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI).
