Ipswich Historic Core Excavation Archive: end of project case study

Author(s): Jude Plouviez

Ipswich has a rich archaeological record including an internationally important Middle Anglo-Saxon period settlement. There was a large backlog of archives from archaeological investigations carried out between 1974 and 1990, which predated present standard flows of archive deposition. The methodology may be applicable elsewhere and the report includes lessons learned from this project. Suffolk County Council prepared this report.
