Author(s): Caroline Rye, Cameron Scott

This report is the first in a series, which details the findings of the SPAB's Building Performance Survey, supported by English Heritage. It sets out the findings out of research work carried out into the subject of the heat loss (U-values) of traditionally built walls. It covers the research methodology and consequences of the findings. The key findings concern the differences between in situ test results and those less favourable to traditionally built walls obtained through theoretical calculation models.
