This illustrated report describes the results and methods of the air photo and lidar assessment and mapping phase of the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment for the south Devon coast. The project was funded by the English Heritage National Heritage Protection Commissions Programme (NHPCP) and carried out by AC Archaeology and Devon County Council between April 2013 and June 2014. The project used English Heritage National Mapping Programme methods and standards. The report includes a review of the sources used and how these and other factors influenced the results. An overview of archaeological results describes the extent, distribution, type and survival of remains. More detailed descriptions of the nature of the archaeological remains are covered in thematic sections. This report concludes with a summary of recommendations for further work and potential sites of national importance arising from the project.
