Author(s): Sharon Penton

This report covers the analytical investigation of a copper alloy wire from an object found at the Southampton Friary in Hampshire, England. The object is a medieval bone tuning peg from a musical instrument. There has been little research into the manufacture of medieval musical instruments and this has been an opportunity to expand our knowledge of this subject.
