Gathering Information on Deep Storage Archive Facilities in England

Author(s): Claire Tsang

There is an archaeological archive storage crisis in England, as most recently shown by the Society for Museum Archaeology (Boyle et al 2016). Given that part of the problem is a lack of storage space in museum stores, commercial facilities seem to offer an economic alternative. This report reviews the options for commercial storage and examines the implications for their use within the heritage sector.
